The Vision of Warrensburg Main Street, Inc. is the continued economic growth and betterment of our historic downtown and community.
In the late 1970’s a group of visionary business and civic leaders came together to revitalize the heart of their community, Downtown Warrensburg. In 1994, Warrensburg Main Street became a nationally-recognized 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Downtown Warrensburg.
Warrensburg Main Street is now one of nine accredited Main Street’s in the State of Missouri and works closely with the Missouri Main Street Connection Inc. We follow the Four-Point Approach and are recognized by the National Historic Preservation of Trust.
Warrensburg Main Street hosts over 50 days of community events in Downtown Warrensburg which brings hundreds of thousands of people each year to our growing Downtown. Downtown homes over 70 locally-owned businesses and continues to revitalize it’s historic district yearly.
As a Missouri Main Street Accredited program, Warrensburg Main Street is a recognized, leading program among the state network of more than 50 districts and communities who share both a commitment to creating high-quality places and to building stronger communities through preservation-based economic development.
Main Street AmericaTM has been helping revitalize older and historic commercial districts for more than 35 years. Today it is a network of more than 1,600 neighborhoods and communities, rural and urban, who share both a commitment to place and to building stronger communities through preservation-based economic development. Main Street America is a program of the nonprofit National Main Street Center, a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Jamie was born and raised in Warrensburg, Missouri. As the daughter of a downtown business owner, she understands the importance of supporting local businesses and fostering community growth. Watching her mother build a successful career inspired Jamie to pursue a degree in Business Administration. She attended the University of Central Missouri, earning her BSBA in 2016. During college, she dedicated her time to leadership roles in her sorority, the admissions office, and the homecoming committee, where her passion for event planning took root. After graduation, Jamie gained hands-on experience in event coordination through a wedding internship in the Saint Louis area. While she appreciated the intricacies of event design, she realized her true passion lay in community development. This led her back to Warrensburg, where she first joined her local organization as an Event Coordinator.
Since then, Jamie has advanced through leadership roles, becoming Assistant Director in 2021 and taking on the role of Executive Director in January 2024. In her current position, she leverages her expertise in event planning and marketing to empower her team and drive economic growth. Her vision focuses on revitalizing and enhancing Downtown Warrensburg, creating a thriving and visually appealing environment for businesses, residents, and visitors alike. Jamie remains dedicated to making a lasting impact on the community that shaped her, ensuring its continued growth and success for generations to come.
Maggie moved to Warrensburg, Missouri when she was 10. She has since worked for over 5 small businesses in the Warrensburg area. She has watched how shopping local can affect a small business owners life and has a passion for spreading the word about the amazing businesses in our Downtown area. Maggie graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Design, and a double minor in Business Administration and Marketing. Her husband and son, moved back to Warrensburg in 2022 and have loved getting back into the community. Maggie cannot wait to help grow the town that she grew up in and see how Downtown Warrensburg can thrive.
Waymon has called Warrensburg home since 2018, where she has immersed herself in both academic and community life. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Missouri in 2022 and later completed a postgraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Public Relations in 2024. Throughout her academic journey, Waymon developed a passion for connecting with people and fostering community engagement. She is particularly excited about supporting local initiatives and spreading awareness of events that highlight the unique culture and opportunities within Warrensburg. Waymon is eager to contribute to the growth of Downtown Warrensburg, collaborating with local businesses to make a lasting impact on the community.
Caleigh is an outdoor enthusiast with a passion for living a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. With a deep appreciation for homegrown, locally-sourced foods, she believes in the power of community and the importance of building connections with those around her. Caleigh has called Warrensburg home since 2017, when she began her academic career at the University of Central Missouri. She earned her undergraduate degree in 2023 in General Studies concentration in Biology. Caleigh has worked for a small business downtown and first hand experienced how important it is to shop locally. Whether it’s sharing a meal made from fresh ingredients or enjoying a hike through nature, Caleigh thrives in environments where people and the planet are at the heart of every experience. Always eager to communicate, collaborate, and learn from others, she is driven by the belief that meaningful connections make life richer.
