July 16th Downtown Art Walk to Celebrate “Food is Art” with Local Flavors, Artists, and Live Music
Warrensburg, Mo. (June 18, 2025) — Warrensburg Main Street is proud to present the next installment of this year’s Third Wednesday Art Walk series. The July Art Walk, taking place on Wednesday, July 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Downtown Warrensburg, will feature the flavorful theme of “Food is Art.”
This evening will showcase the talents of our local visual artists and musicians, while also celebrating the creativity and expertise of the culinary arts. Attendees can look forward to an expanded lineup of delicious offerings, such as Chef JBird, Major Dude Pizza, and other places where food takes center stage, set up along the Art Walk in Downtown Warrensburg. With sights, sounds, and flavors to enjoy at every turn, it promises to be an evening to savor. “We are excited to bring even more variety to this month’s Art Walk,” says Warrensburg Main Street Program Coordinator, Waymon Hollister. “With the theme ‘Food is Art,’ we have the opportunity to showcase how creativity shines in many forms, whether it is on a canvas, through music, or on a plate.”
In addition to the art and performances, visitors can enjoy extended shopping hours at beloved local businesses. Shops such as Moonlit Petrichor, Magnolia Market, Abby’s Aesthetic, Gunzil & Bowser Children’s Bookstore, Awesome Blossoms, and Revival Clothing and Decor will be staying open late to welcome guests. Strolling from shop to shop while enjoying live music, food, and art makes for a delightful mid-week evening downtown.
Downtown Warrensburg’s monthly Art Walks provide an opportunity for the community to connect with local creatives and small businesses. The event fosters relationships between artists, business owners, and visitors, bringing vibrancy and energy to the downtown district. “Food is Art” promises to be one of the most lively events of the season, as the art of food joins the mix of visual and musical talent that fills the streets.
In addition to the July Art Walk, the series continues with Authors of August on August 20, a celebration of local writers and their works, followed by Stitchin’ in September on September 17, which will highlight fiber arts and hand-crafted textiles. Each month brings a fresh focus to the Art Walk, inviting the community to experience new forms of creativity throughout the summer and early fall.
Participation in the Art Walk is free for artists and musicians, and all community members are welcome to attend. This is a free event. Head downtown on July 16 to enjoy an evening of art, food, and music!
