Warrensburg Main Street is excited to officially reveal our permanent historic walking tour to Downtown Warrensburg. Join Warrensburg Main Street staff, board, and design committee as the Stories of Downtown Historical Walking Tour to our community starting at the Downtown Johnson County Courthouse. Our event will kick off with Mayor Jim Kushner as he reads the Proclamation for May being National Historic Preservation Month followed by Joe Jokebit’s Eulogy of the Dog speech. Maps of 10+ permanent stops will be given for community members to walk their own path to read stories of the building’s history, architecture, and previous businesses who once homed our historic Downtown. Stories will be available by scanning the QR codes on each building. These stories will be updated as we continue to make history in Downtown Warrensburg.
