It’s that time of year to show up, spread love, and celebrate the people and places that make Downtown Warrensburg so special. This winter, we’re reinventing our beloved Love Letters to Downtown into the I Heart Downtown Campaign, with the Economic Vitality Committee and Promotions Committee teaming up to help share the love far and wide.
From January 1 through February 14, we invite the community to send positive messages to our downtown businesses and the people who work there. Whether it’s a simple thank you, a heartfelt shoutout, or a note about what you love most, your words matter. We’ll collect these messages and display them on heart cutouts posted on business doors throughout downtown—spreading encouragement, appreciation, and connection all season long.
On February 7, we’ll host our first official I Heart Downtown Day. Community members are encouraged to come downtown to write and deliver their own messages, volunteer, and help us “sprinkle” Downtown Warrensburg with love. Participating businesses will also be sharing the love back by offering special deals or promotions that day.
Let’s be honest—we could all use a little more love, whether we’re giving it or receiving it. So tell us what you love about Downtown Warrensburg. Write to your favorite local business, the owner who always makes you feel welcome, or the employee who knows your name.
