Annual Dickens’ Christmas Returns to Downtown Warrensburg
Warrensburg, Mo. (November 25th, 2025) — Head to Downtown Warrensburg, Missouri for a Dickens’ Christmas on December 6th from 10am – 3pm! Downtown will once again transform back into the 1840s, the era when Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” was published. Guests will see carolers fill the streets, artisans and makers fill the storefronts and plenty of opportunities to step back in time for Christmas fun.
Dickens’ Christmas gives attendees the chance to see local artists display their crafts in Downtown Warrensburg. Community members will find artists demonstrating traditional crafts and traits like blacksmith, stain glass, cross stitching, woodworking, glass blowing and so much more. Community members are also encouraged to explore our Downtown businesses for holiday gifts and souvenirs while they shop the artisans and their homemade, giftable creations.
Dickens’ Christmas will begin by welcoming Father Christmas at the historic train station. Thanks to the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, Father Christmas will be arriving at 9:57 AM, where guests can take photos at the train station or catch a snapshot as he strolls the Downtown sidewalks greeting visitors from near and far. While community members gather to wait for Father Christmas’ anticipated arrival, a preview performance of The Nutcracker by local dancers from Center Stage Academy of Performing Arts will be happening at the train depot starting at 9:30AM. Following Father Christmas’ arrival, there will be many other activities available for all ages to enjoy.
Free horse and wagon rides through downtown will be available at the Johnson County Courthouse starting at 10:00AM. Community members can grab a warm cup of hot cocoa or roasted chestnuts from an open fire on the sidewalk south of Ivory and Lace Bridal Boutique provided by Trail Life Troop 2415. The festive atmosphere wouldn’t be complete without classic carols filling the air, with local carolers sharing holiday songs all day long.
Don’t miss the tastiest part of Dickens’ Christmas, the Tiny Tim Soup Stroll!
