Airman First Class Savannah Lugo is a deserving nominee for Volunteer of the Year for her exceptional dedication and service to Warrensburg Main Street during the third quarter of 2025. From May through September, Savannah contributed more than 75 volunteer hours to the Warrensburg Farmers’ Market, becoming an essential part of the market’s success. Savannah consistently assisted with early morning setup, welcomed community members, supported vendors throughout the day, and staffed the Welcome Tent, where her efforts helped raise more than $1,450 in merchandise sales to support the Farmers’ Market and Main Street’s nonprofit mission. She also went above and beyond by recruiting additional volunteers from Whiteman Air Force Base, strengthening connections between downtown and the base community. Her enthusiasm, reliability, and willingness to help wherever needed truly embody the spirit of volunteerism that keeps Downtown Warrensburg thriving, making Savannah an outstanding candidate for Volunteer of the Year.
