Our organization saw the dedication to improvement and nominated Will and Eva Norton for their outstanding work in restoring a section of the historic Cord Building at 319 N Holden St. They have completed extensive interior renovations, transforming it into a modern real estate office while maintaining its historic charm. Exterior improvements, including roof repairs, tuckpointing, paint, and sidewalk updates, have ensured the building’s preservation and structural integrity. Their plans to convert the second story into an Airbnb will further enhance the building’s impact on the community. This project blends historical preservation with modern functionality, making a significant contribution to Downtown Warrensburg’s revitalization. Will and Eva also were awarded the Paul Bruhn Grant where the National Park Services recognized their efforts to restore contributing buildings to our historic district. The Next Door Agents’ dedication to preserving this historic space makes them a deserving winner for Best Rehabilitation Project.
