Help Warrensburg Main Street staff, board, and design committee celebrate Historic Preservation Month with the Stories of Downtown Historical Walking Tour.
Our organization has created a permanent walking tour for community to celebrate the past businesses, historical architecture and unique stories of our historic Downtown district. While the permanent walking tour is available all year round, on May 21st the community will be able to join local tour guides on a walking tour highlighting many of our buildings. Tours will visit six of our ten stops, as well as, stop into some buildings undergoing rehabilitation, such as Corner Cafe, The Mule Barn, and a 2nd-story hidden gem. There will be a limited number of tour guides and spots. Tours will begin at the Johnson County Courthouse following the Eulogy of the Dog at 6 pm.
After the walking tour, participants are encouraged to join the Design committee for a fun, free trivia to see how much they learned on the Fitter’s Restaurant Patio.
