Clay Clear Band

Saturday, October 12th | 8pm – 10pm

Location: Main Stage – W Pine Street

Established in 2019, the Clay Clear Band is Missouri’s premier broadcaster of original Southern Rock and Country music. Raised performing in smoky honkytonks and party barns in rural Missouri, singer-songwriter, and guitarist extraordinaire Clay Clear has refined his own energized twang that “tastes like country and burns like rock n’ roll”. The band has become a regional staple, performing at institutions such as Knuckleheads Saloon, Aztec Shawnee Theater, Branded Outdoor and Indoor Theatre, and Ozarks Amphitheater, and appearing at select festivals such as Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain, Firewater Festival, and the Missouri State Fair. Such appearances have led to the band opening for the likes of Dwight Yoakam, Maggie Rose, Ward Davis, and Flatland Cavalry; while Clay in his own right has opened for ZZ Top, George Thorogood, and the Destroyers, and David Lee Murphy. The Clay Clear Band self-released their debut album, “Barrooms, Broken Hearts, and Bad Decisions” in March 2022. Working with Nashville producer Oran Thornton (Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Eric Church, and more), fans are anticipating the band’s sophomore album release “High and Lonesome” in May 2023. Clay has been recognized as Missouri’s Best Musician by Missouri Magazine in 2020, 2021, and 2022, and the band itself has been voted Missouri’s Best Band in 2023.
